BIRNIE BUS SERVICE, INC. ANNOUNCES HIRING OF UP TO 100 NEW EMPLOYEES, NEW SCHOOL BUSES & NEW CHARTER BUSES
Birnie Bus Service, Inc. President, Timothy Birnie, announced today that in an effort to better serve their existing contracts, customers and with increased charter work, they will be hiring up to 100 new employees, company-wide, throughout the month of July and are encouraging all interested parties to apply immediately.
Birnie also announced that the company has purchased 20 new school buses that meet the 2010 Environmental EPA Standards and are equipped with the latest technology with surveillance cameras. In addition to the new school buses Birnie also introduced the addition of new charters to their coach line. These charters have a new look of green and gold and meet the 2010 Environmental EPA Standards along with several technological advances to improve passenger safety which includes electronic stability control, electronic tire pressure monitoring and drive-cam and GPS system. All charters are equipped with wireless internet and satellite television.
Along with the hiring of new jobs and new bus lines, Birnie spoke about being awarded the Rome City School District contract for another three years.
Birnie Bus Service currently has 17 locations throughout New York State and currently employees over 1,300 people and has a fleet of over 900 school buses.
Birnie Bus Service has been a major sponsor for the past several years for The Heart Run and Walk, The Boilermaker and this year’s Central New York Special Olympics. Birnie Bus also provides transportation for Cooperstown Hall of Fame Weekend and the Turning Stone Casino and Resort PGA Golf Tournament.
